Welcome to shipstamps.co.uk.
I have set up this site as a community where you can showcase your stamps, provide information about new issues of ship stamps, ask questions regarding where to get certain stamps, or identifying stamps you have in your collection.
Obviously the site is in it’s infancy so you will probably not find the stamp you are interested in for a while. Please be patient, - great oaks from little acorns grow.
A lot of the information comes from the Ship Stamp Society and also from the articles of Ernest Argyle, Past President of the Society, which were published in Sea Breezes 1950-77. (Some readers might not know who Ernest Argyle was. If you put his name in the search box, I have published his obituary)
If you would like to submit a stamp, please scan it at 300dpi and let me have it with a description, (Microsoft Word if poss) it would be appreciated.
Hopefully over time this site will form an archive of ship stamps from around the world, and a resource for those involved in collecting.
