Space stamp SG 2451.........any idea of the ship on the lower left ??

A couple of questions on this issue :

1. Why did Southern Rhodesia only issue 2 instead of 4 stamps as per all the other countries ?

2. Any idea of the identity of the 'paddle-steamer' used for the 2nd of the 4 values ?
