This ship is a form of sambuk on Zanzibar. It was much smaller sambuk and had only one mast. The mast is vertical or slightly forward-raking mast stepped against a thwart and an athwartship beam lashed to the thwart, so that the same as the mast of sambuc.Sail ("Setti") was small, so rigged with a very simple. These small sailing ship had good nautical qualities. They carried goods between Zanzibar and the African’s mainland and between Madagascar and Aden.
