By Navicula is given that the EFORIE is depict on this stamp but I believe the MANGALIA her sister is depict she was built first and completed in1988, while the EFORIE was completed in 1991 after the stamp was issued in 1989.

Built as a passenger/ro-ro/train/cargo vessel under yard No 459 by Santirul Naval Constanta for Compania de Navigatie Romline S.A., Constanta, Rumania.
Launched as the MANGALIA one sister the EFORIE.
Tonnage 20,621 grt, 10,709 net, 12.000 dwt., dim. 184.9 x 26 x 15.32m. length bpp 175.4m, draught 7.40m.
Powered by two 8-cyl MAN 8l 52/55 diesels manufactured by Alco/Resita, 14,370 hp, speed 17 knots.
Can carry 80 train wagons or 80 trucks or cars and containers.
March 1988 completed.

In what service she was used in the Black Sea I could not find out. At that time the two sisters were the largest ro-ro vessel used on the Black Sea.
1998 Transferred to the Rumania state owned CFR Marfa.
Then used in a service between Constanta - Derince, Turkey or to Poti/Batumi, Georgia.
In 2009 the classification society Germanischer Lloyd withdrawn her from the class with surveys overdue.
2012 Owned by CFR Ferry Boat same name, IMO No 8513663. Both ships are now laid up in Constanta, most probably in the near future she are scrapped.
