ADZHARIYA passenger ship 1964

From Mr Carlo I got this postal stationery depicting the Soviet passenger ship ADZHARIYA have seen also the name ADJARIA.

Built as a passenger ship under yard No 119 by the Mathias Thesen Werft in Wismar, East Germany for the USSR (black Sea Shipping Co., Odessa.
Launched as the ADZHARIYA, she was one of the Mikhail Kalinin class.
Tonnage 4,871 grt, 2,061 net, 1,358 dwt., dim. 122.2 x 16.0m. length bpp. 110.0m.
Powered by two 6-cyl MAN-DMR diesel engines, 8,419 hp, twin shafts, speed 18 knots.
Accommodation for 333 passengers, crew 134.
July 1964 completed, homeport Odessa.

She was the last unit of this class delivered.
Used for regular services in the Black Sea and cruises in the Black Sea and Mediterranean.
1991 After the collapse of the Soviet State under Ukrainian flag and registry, owned by the Black Sea Shipping Co. Odessa.
1996 Sold to Aliaga, Pakistan for scrap, where she arrived under tow on 12 January 1996 and was scrapped by Demtas A.S.
