FAIRMOUNT EXPEDITION tug 2007

The model of the tug FAIRMOUNT EXPEDITION is made from synthetic material, the real tug is made under yard No 0014 by Niigata Shipbuilding & Repair Inc., Niigata, Japan for MPC Scheepsfonds Fairmount Expedition B.V. Panama.
11 July 2006 keel laid down.
10 February 2007 launched (floated out) as FAIRMOUNT EXPEDITION, christened by Mrs Giuliana de Heer, spouse of the Director of Fairmount.
Tonnage 3,239 grt, 971 nrt, 3,567 dwt. Dim. 75.05 x 18.00 x 8.00m, length bpp. 66.08, draught maximum 6.80m.
Powered by 4 Wartsilä 6L32 diesel engines, each 4,080 bhp., twin shafts, speed 16.5 knots.
Bow thruster of 825 kW and a stern thruster 736 kW. Bollard pull maximum 205 tonnes.
Accommodation for 36 persons.
08 June 2007 delivered to owners, managed by Fairmount Marine BV, Rotterdam.

Her maiden voyage was from China with the Dutch trailing suction hopper dredger W.D.FAIRWAY to Thailand.
September 2008 sold to Fairmount Marine B.V., Rotterdam, under Netherlands flag with homeport Rotterdam.
2015 In service as given by http://www.equasis.org owned by Fairmount Expedition BV, Papendrecht, Netherlands and also managed. IMO No 9358943
