The Rossia was considerably damaged by Japanese armoured cruisers at Ulsan in 1904, but could still steam well, despite heavy casualties. In 1906 the Rossiya (or Rossija) had a major refit which included an extra six 6 inch guns fitted in sponsons on the upper deck. as well as an extra three 3-inch guns added/ and this time the three torpedo tubes were removed. Interesting history of the ship was she was fitted out as a royal yacht before the war. She was employed in the Baltic during World War One, at times as a minelayer. Finally scrapped in 1922 in Kiel (Germany)
(Russia 2006, 12 P. StG.?) 1st. ship right in the margin.
