The stamp issued by Monaco was to celebrate the participation of the Principality of Monaco at the London Olympic. It shows five 8m class yachts racing, The MARGARET is shown in the 3rd place, the other yachts are the UNITY and VIM preceding the MARGARET while the OLD CHAP is the fourth yacht, the fifth yacht is unknown.

The 8m class yacht MARGARET was built by Anker & Jensen yard at Asker, Norway under yard no 300 for the British Sir Ernest Roney, who had represented Great Britain in 1924 in the Summer Olympics in Le Havre were he took silver in the 8 m class yacht race,
The yacht was designed by Johan Anker.
She had a tonnage of 12 tons TM, dim. Length on deck 14.31m, beam 2.65m.

1926 Delivered to owner. He was a member of the Royal Clyde Yacht Club.

For twenty ears she was sailing from the Clyde River.
The MARGARET was later owned by his daughter,
From 1933 till 1968 was the MARGARET owned by A. Ballantine the whisky producer, from this period not much is known.
After World War II she was also racing in the Mediterranean.
1968 She was sold to Mr. Milne, when he moved to Denmark the yacht was sold to a consortium and renamed CONIP with sail number D40
1990 Sold to Mr. Mesnel a collector of vintage boats at Saint Malo, the yacht underwent restoration work by Guy Ribadeau Dumas, at Saint Malo given her back the original rigging and sails, the 1926 sail-plan of the yacht is in the Norway Maritime Museum in Oslo. He renamed the yacht again in MARGARET sail number F40.
1990 and 1991 she took part in the 8m class race in La Nioulargue , St Tropez, France and winning in her class.
Then she was stored in a shed in Saint Malo, with other classic yachts of Mr. Mesnel.
2003 She was bought by the current owners in Italy, and refitted by Pezzini Shipyard, Viareggio in 2004/05. Sail number 8K4 and she is homeported at Viareggio. Owned by ?
2016 Took part in sail races.
