AMAZONE and SEME 3

The drilling rig in the foreground of the stamp is the AMAZONE a design from Gusto Engineering in the Netherlands.
Built under yard No 830 by Skord Vaerft A/S at the Aker Stordverft Norway Shipyard for Saga Petroleum.
Launched as the AMAZONE.
Tonnage 5,086 grt, 612 nrt, dim. 49.99 x 37m.
Completed in 1982.

After completing used in the Seme oilfield off Benin. She can drill to 10,000 ft. in water depth of 165 ft.
In the mid-1980s Saga Petroleum pulled out of the Benin Seme oilfield.
Sold to Gazflot, Russia, not renamed.
Used in the Azov Sea area.
2017 Laid up. IMO No 8429056

The production platform SEME 3 was built by Kvaerner Engineering in Norway, one of the three production platforms used by Saga Petroleum for the Seme oilfield off Benin.
Have not any details on her.
2017 She is now abandoned and slowly rusting away leaking oil and Benin has asked help by the Norway Government for cleaning up and removing the production platforms.
