The wooden yacht shown on this stamp with sail number 454 is the OLIVE MARY.
Built as an auxiliary gaff cutter by Harry King & Sons of Pin Mill, River Orwell for Mr. Tom C. Riggs of Aldeburgh, Suffolk. She was designed by Maurice Griffiths.
Launched as the OLIVE MARY. Two sisters.
Tonnage 7 tons T.M., dim. 25.6 ft length overall without bowsprit, length waterline 23.0 ft , beam 8.6 ft and draught 4.3ft.
2016 Fitted out with a Perkins auxiliary diesel 23 hp.

Can’t find much on her history.
She was found by Bob Gingell in poor condition at Moody’s at the Hamble River near Southampton.
He restored her in her old glory.
2017 She is for sale.
