Built as a multi-purpose cargo vessel under yard No. 447 on the VEB Schifswerft “Neptun” at Rostock at that time East Germany, for the Société Nationale des Transports Maritime (Sonatram), Libreville. She was one of the Neptun 421type.
20 April 1983 keel laid down.
01 July 1983 launched under the name L’ABANGA One sistership under Gabon flag, La MPASSA.
Tonnage 9.281 gross, 5.220 net, 12.665 dwt., dim. 150.17 x 21.0 x 11.3m., draught 9.1m. Length between p.p. 140.4m.
One 9 cyl. Halberstadt/MAN diesel engine 9.000 bhp., speed 17 knots.
Three holds 5 hatches, could carry 106 TEU’s when built, 48 hold, 58 deck.
01 October 1983 completed.

1994 Sold to Spetses Maritime Co. Ltd., Malta, renamed ELISE D.
2004 Renamed by owners in SAFMARINE BATA.
October 2008 Renamed by owners MARINE.
Can carry now 428 TEU’s.

As given by http://www.equasis.org in 2009 same name and owner, managed by Oceanstar Management Inc., Athens, Greece. IMO No. 8311027

2009 Sold to Red Sea Navigation Co., Port Tawfiq, Egypt, renamed PORT SAID, Panama flag and registry.
2016 Sold to Citadel Logistics Co. Sa., Suez, Egypt and renamed in JASMINE OF SEA.
27 January 2017 beached at Pakistan for demolition.
