CHANG ZHENG

Built in 1970 by the Hudong Shipyard at Shanghai for Bomta at Shanghai.
Launched under the name CHANG ZHENG that means “Long March”.
Tonnage 7.500 dwt.
Dimensions 138 x 17.6 x 6m. (draught.)
Two 9ESDZ43/82 diesel engines each 3.308 kW., speed 18.1 knots.
Cruising radius 3.500 nautical miles.
She has 7 decks and passenger accommodation for 858 passengers in 103 cabins.
Cargo capacity for 2.000 tons in three holds.
1971 Delivered to owners.

Used in the service between Shanghai and Dalian.
According the web-site of the builder 12 units were built of the same type.

May 1994 she is believed to have been seriously damage by fire.
July 1977 was reported that she was sold by the Government of The People’s Republic of China to Chinese shipbreakers.

25 May 1994 damaged by fire.
1997 Broken up in China, 1977 is a typo mistake
IMO No 7741756
