Built as a cargo/container vessel under yard No 986 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Yokohama, Japan for Soc. Ivorienne de Transports Maritime, (SITRAM), Abidjan Ivory Coast.
Launched under the name YAMOUSSOUKRO, named after the village where (at that time) President Felix Houphouet-Boigny was born.
Tonnage 13.530 gross, 7.066 net, 16.746 dwt., dim. 156.01 x 24.06 x 9.82m. (draught), length bpp. 146.0m.
One 7-cyl Sulzer diesel engine 11.550 bhp., speed 15 knots.
Container capacity for 470 TEU’s, refrigerated hold of 340 cubic meters.
1977 Completed.

Used in the service from West Africa to West Europe.
1992 Sold to Soc. Navale Caennaise, Bahamas and renamed THOMAS D’AQUIN.
1994 Renamed by owners in THOMAS DELMAS.
On a voyage from Singapore to Male she grounded on 05 January 1997 on a reef off the Male Island.
Some cargo and bunkers was discharged prior to refloating on 26 January 1997.
After an examination at Marseille, France, repairs were considered uneconomical and she was sold “as is” to Greek interest for $800.000.
1997 Sold to Elma Navigation, Bahamas and renamed ELMA I.
The same year sold to Ocean Star Maritime S.A., Bahamas and renamed OCEAN SUN.
2005 Sold to Red Sea Navigation, Port Tawfiq, Egypt and renamed SINAI.

On Ivory Coast 1977 65f sg 515, scott 446

2008 http://www.equasis.org gives IMO No. 7628148, call sign 3EAP, owned and managed by Red Sea Navigation.

30 June 2009 she arrived at Alang, beached 08 July 2009 for scrapping.
