OLIWA

Built under yard No. 852 as the Hansa-A type cargo vessel by Stettiner Oderwerke AG, Stettin for the Argo Reederei Richard Adler & Söhne.
1945 During the occupation by the Russian forces of Stettin still under construction seized.
After the war as war reparation to Russia.
24 April 1948 launched under the name OLIWA.

24 August 1948 together with some other reparation vessel given to Polish Government.
Towed to Gdansk, and there her construction completed by the Stoccznia Gdanska yard at Gdansk.
Tonnage 1.834 gross, 928 net, 3.027 dwt., dim. 91.8 x 13.5 x 5.6m. (draught).
Powered by one 8-cyl MAN diesel 1.200 ihp, speed 10 knots.
Bunker capacity 446 ton.
Cargo capacity 5.232 cubic meter.
1950 Delivered to Zegluga Polska SA (POL), Gdynia and renamed MARCHLEWSKI.

She was built for the service between Poland and the Middle East.
1970 renamed MP-ZPS-6 and handed back to the Polish Government, used as a storage hulk,
in Stettin.
July 1982 sold to Hamina Laivaromu OY, Hamina, Finland for scrapping.

Image of stamp and a photo of the ship.
Russian sources give that she was launched as OLIVA and in 1950 renamed in OLIWA, Lloyds Register has her only under the name OLIWA from launching.
