The Oltul, ore carrier, is of 16,601 gross tons, 5,380 net, and 25,420 deadweight, built in July 1967, by Hitachi Zosen, Innoshima, and is a motorship with machinery aft. Length 594 ft. 3 in., beam 81 ft. 7 in., draft 31 ft. 2 in., depth 42 ft. 4 in. She has three holds, each of 130 ft. length and six hatches, each 46 ft. x 28 ft. 9 in. Engines: Burmeister and Wain 2-stroke single-acting, 7 cylinders. 740mm. diameter by 1600mm. stroke, 11,500 b.h.p. built by Hitachi Zosen, giving a speed of 16 knots.

Built as a bulk-carrier under yard No 4079 for NAVROM, Romania.

1994 Sold by Cia de Navigation Maritime Petromin S.A., Romania to Emtas Gemi Sokum A.S. Turkey for scrapping.
21 December 1994 OLTUL arrived at Aliaga, Turkey for breaking up.
