STENA LYNX III ferry

Built as a fast passenger ro-ro ferry under yard No. 40 by International Catamarans, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia for American Fast Ferries Lt. Nassau, Bahamas.
May 1995 keel laid down
18 May 1996 launched, and completed.
Tonnage 4.113 gross, 1.715 net, 310dwt. Dim. 80.61 x 26 x 6.52m., draught 3.0m. Length bpp. 66.47m.
Powered by four 16-cyl. Ruston diesels, 22.000 kW/29.000 hp., speed 38 knots.
Passengers 620, can carry 153 cars or 10 coaches.
26 May 1996 delivered to owners.

After delivery chartered by Stena Line Ab, Göteborg, Sweden.
28 June 1996 arrived at Dover.
09 July 1996 named at Dover, STENA LYNX III.
04 July 1996 till 22 March 1997 used in the service between Dover and Calais.
26 March 1997 used in the service from Newhaven to Dieppe.
10 March 1998 Transferred to P&O Stena, renamed in ELITE.
Later that year registered for P&O Stena Line, renamed in P&O STENA ELITE.
01 November 1998 renamed in STENA LYNX III.
07 December 1998 in the service from Fishguard to Rosslare.
October laid up at A&P Tranmere Basin, England for the season.
2003 till 27 September 2003 in the service from Fishguard to Rosslare.
28 September 2003 in charter for Stena Line, renamed in ELITE, sailed Fishguard to A& P Birkenhead, where she was laid up.
2004 Sold by American Fast Ferries Ltd. to Stena Ropax, United Kingdom, registered under Bahamas flag
28 March 2004 renamed in Stena Lynx III, sailed the same day from Belfast to Fishguard.
08 April 2004 in the service from Fishguard to Rosslare.
29 September 2004 laid up for the winter season by A&P Appeldore.
April 2005 till September 2005 in service from Fishguard to Rosslare.
Laid up during the winter.
24 April 2006 again in the service from Fishguard to Rosslare, but will again be laid up during the winter season. 2006/07.
http://www.equasis.org gives IMO No. 9129328 under Bahamas flag and registry, still owned by Stena Ropax and managed by Northern Marine Management, Clydebank, U.K.

2011 Sold to Dae A. Express Shipping Co. Ltd., Pohang, South Korea, renamed SUNFLOWER 2.
2012 Sold to Dae A. Maritime Co. Ltd., South Korea renamed ORANGE 1,
2016 Renamed by owners in OCEAN FLOWER 2.
10 December 2016 in service between Busan and Tsushima.
2017 In service, same name and owner.
