Built as a bulk-timber carrier under yard No. 493 by Tsuneishi Zosen K.K. Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., at Nimakuna, Japan for Kanabar Kisen K.K. at Nimakuma.
22 February 1982 launched under the name BARON MINTO.
Tonnage 18.824 gross, 11.971 net, 32.131 dwt, dim. 170 x 25.4 x 15.5m. , draught 11.2m.
Powered by a Mitsui B7W 7l55GFCA diesel, 10.500 hp. speed 14.5 knots. Trial speed 16.8 knots.
5 Holds, when loaded with bulkcargo she is so strengthened that hold 2 and 4 can stay empty.
On deck she has removable support beams for the carriage of logs or timber.
4 Cranes with a loading capacity of 25 tons each, cranes hoisting gear can be fitted out with clamshell-buckets of 6.5 tons for loading or loading/discharging bulk cargo.
April 1982 completed.

1985 Sold to Pacific Diamond S.A. Panama, not renamed.
1988 Sold to S.N.T.M./CNAN, Algeria, renamed AIN TEMOUCHENT. Homeport Alger.
Sept 1989 She made a voyage from Alger to Conmeau Bay, where she arrived 26 September.
2007 Owned by International Bulk Carrier Spa., Algiers.

Gross tonnage 19.084 tons.

On the stamp she is depict in a cloud of dust, when loading fertilizer at the quay at Nauru.

2011 Out of service in Labuan, Malaysia and laid up.
February 2017 sold in Kuala Lumpur to Morrito Maritime, St Kitts and Nevis.
29 April 2017 renamed in TEMOUCHENT and under Comorian flag and registry.
Towed by the tug HURRICANE to the breakers in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
