Krasin
The Russian icebreaker Krassin, built by Armstrong, in 1917. Ship's displacement is 9,500 tons, and gross tonnage 4,902. Length is 297 ft. (wI.), 3231/4 ft. overall and beam 71 ft. Depth is 26 ft. Machinery consists of three sets of triple-expansion engines developing 10,000 ih.p. for a speed of 15 knots. There are ten single-ended boilers and she carries 3,200 tons of coal with a complement of 190 men. She is stationed in the Arctic. The vessel was originally named Sviatogor. This stamp is one of a new set of five pioneer Russian icebreakers. SG4602
