Built under yard No 687 as a fish factory ship by the Verolme yard at Alblasserdam, Netherlands for North Korean account.
27 February 1964 keel laid down.
29 August 1964 launched under the name BAEK DU SAN as given by Lloyds, Stanley Gibbons gives PAEKDUSAN and the Dutch magazine Blauwe Wimpel BACK DUSAN, but she is the same vessel.
Tonnage 7.218 gross, 5.000 dwt. Dim. 130.3 x 18.0m., length bpp 120.0m.
Powered by one MAN diesel engine ?hp, speed 16 knots.
Reefer capacity 266.000 cubic feet. Could when built produce 120 ton fish a day.
December 1964 completed.

Was delivered under Dutch flag and with a Dutch crew after a voyage of 11.300 miles to her North Korean owners, Kmang Hypodon Trading Company end January 1965.

She is given that she in 2006 still is in service, but her IMO No. 6420355 gives noting on http://www.equasis.org
