Built as a inter island passenger- cargo vessel under yard no 468 by J.L.Meyer, Papenburg, Germany for the Colonial Steamship Co., Port Louis, Mauritius.
1955 Launched under the name MAURITIUS.
Tonnage 2.092 gross, 1.157 net, 2.300 dwt. Dim. 278 x 41 x 17ft.
One oil engine 4SA 8 cyl., 1.650 bhp., speed 11.5 knots.
Passenger accommodation for 22 cabin, 20 dormitory class and 108 deck passengers.


Used for the inter-island routes, including international voyages to the Seychelles group and South African ports.
1991 Sold to Mohamed Mustafa Radi Ismail, St Vincent, renamed in AYDA III.
1992 Sold to Mancora Marine Services, St Vincent, renamed RANA.
Same year sold to Edelweiss Maritime Ltd., St Vincent and renamed BOUVET.
24 June 1993 arrived at Mangalore after she was sold to Indian ship breakers.
Reported broken up 1994/95.
