The ship depict on this stamp has been for my a mystery, she is one of the Clan Line, has the funnel colours of that company but a ship of than line under the name CLAN MACKAY has not been wrecked on the Seychelles Islands, or any other ship of that company, the only thing what can be possible that she grounded there and was refloated afterwards, but I can nowhere find anything that this had happened.

The year on the stamp is given as 1894, and in that year a CLAN MACKAY was delivered to the Clan Line.
Built as a cargo vessel under yard No 229 by the Naval Construction and Armaments Co. Ltd., Barrow for the Clan Line Steamers Ltd. (Cayzer, Irvine), Glasgow, Scotland.
31 October 1894 launched as CLAN MACKAY.
Tonnage 2.600 gross, 1.654 net, dim. 312.0 x 40.2 x 24.7ft.
Powered by a 3-cyl. triple expansion steam engine, manufactured by the shipbuilder, 317nhp., speed 10 knots.
December 1894 delivered.

1914 Sold to the Adelaide Steam Ship Co. Ltd., Newcastle N.S.W, Australia and renamed CEDUNA.
1924 Sold to Woo Kuei Fen, Shanghai, China and renamed TUNG-TUCK, she was managed by Tung, Tuck & Co.
1936 Sold to Tung Tuck Steamship Co., Shanghai not renamed.
1937 Sold to Lee Yuan Steamship Co., Shanghai and renamed CHANG TEH.
1938 Sold to J.D. Tsounias (managed by China Hellenic Lines Ltd.), Piraeus, Greece renamed PANANIS.
December 1941 seized by Japan.
1943 Renamed in SHIYO MARU owned by the Japanese Government.
07 September 1944 torpedoed by the submarine USS PADDLE and sunk in position 08 11N 122 40E (Sulu Sea).
