Built by the yard of the Lage Irmanos, Rio de Janeiro for Cia Nationale de Nav. Costeira. Manager Henrique Lage.
Launched under the name ITAQUATIA.
Tonnage 2.162 gross, 1.250 net, 1.653 dwt., dim. 288 x 42 x 18ft.
Fitted with two 6-cyl. triple expansion steam engines and two single ended boilers operating at 180 lbs/sqin supplied by Ailsa Shipbuilding Troon, Scotland. 304 nhp., twin shafts, speed 12 knots. One aux. Boiler.
Fitted with electric light, wireless and refrigeration m/c.
Homeport Rio de Janeiro.
April 1920 delivered to owners.

Lloyds certificate issued April 1924 was for ‘Brazilian coasting’
In 1937 the company managed 21 steamships, 7 motorships, and a number of port tugs, lighters and floating cranes.
Services: Mail, passenger and cargo between Brazilian ports.
30 August 1965, commenced demolition at Rio de Janeiro. At that time she still had her original engines and boilers and was still coal fired.
