DAMIAO DE GOES ferry

As given by the Portuguese Postal Authorities the ferry depict is the DAMIAO DE GOES.

Built as an aluminium catamaran ferry under yard No 0053 by Damen Shipyard Singapore Pte. Ltd., Singapore for Sociedade Fluvial de Transportes S.A. (Soflusa), Lisbon, Portugal.
January 2003 launched as the DAMIAO DE GOES.
Tonnage 713 grt, 213 net, 48dwt., dim. 49.2 x 12.3 x 3.3m., length bpp. 47m. draught 1.5m.
Powered by two 16-cyl. MTU diesel engines, manufacture by MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH, Friedrichshafen, Germany, 6.304 hp, twin waterjet propulsion, speed 30 knots.
Accommodation for 600 passengers.
She was completed by the Damen yard in Gorinchem, Netherlands.
14 March 2003 delivered. Homeport Lisbon.

She was the first of a series of nine fast ferries built for Portugal.
She operated in the service between Terreiro do Paco, Lisbon across the River Taag to Barreiro.
2009 In service, same name and owners, IMO No 9270098.
