QUEEN VICTORIA lifeboat

The QUEEN VICTORIA lifeboat replaced the ARTHUR LIONEL in 1929.
Built by J. Samuel White, Cowes, Isle of Wight.
27 October 1929 one of the Barnett class lifeboats the QUEEN VICTORIA was based at St Peters Port, Guernsey under ON 719.
Tonnage 23.8 tons, dim. 51 x 13.5ft.
Two 60hp petrol oil engines did give her a speed of 8.5 knots. She was the first powered lifeboat at the station.
Range by full speed 120 miles.
Crew 7/8.
She was fitted out with wireless telegraphy, which was in 1938 changed to radio telephony.

During World War II used as relief boat in the U.K and Ireland.
1945 returned back in Guernsey.
Till 1954 in service.
During her service in Guernsey she was called out 90 times
Thereafter relief boat at Guernsey.
Fate unknown.
