On 4 October 1985 Norway issued four 2K stamps in a miniature sheet, with an additional charge of 4 Kr. for the promotion of philately.
The subjects represent the off-shore oil industry, of which three stamps include watercraft.
The stamp right above shows the drilling rig TREASURE SCOUT and the supply vessel ODIN VIKING.
The stamp is designed after a photo taken in 1982 at Tromsoflaket.
Built as a tug/supply vessel under yard No 177 by Ulstein Hatlø A/S and fitted out by Ulstein Smedvik A/S, Tjorvag, Norway for K/S Viking Supply Ships A/S, Kristiansand, Sweden.
Launched as ODIN VIKING, christened by Aslaug Tuxen.
Tonnage 499 grt, 178 net, 1,100 dwt., dim. 64.67 x 13.81 x 6.91m., draught 4.72m.
Powered by two 16-cyl. Nohab diesel engines, 8,160 bhp, twin shafts, speed 16 knots.
01 April 1982 completed.
1997 Sold to Troms Fylkes Dampskibsselskap ASA, Trømso for approximately 50 million NOK, renamed in TROMS TJELD.
She was chartered for a long time charter by the Norwegian Statoil and used to supply various fields in the North Sea.
July 2003 the charter was completed and she returned to owners.
May 2004 she was chartered for three years by a company in Dubai.
2004 Sold to Seaport International Shipping, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, renamed SIS PIONEER under Norway International Ship Registry.

Built under yard No 923 by Götaverken Arendal AB at Arendal, Norway for Wilh. Wilhelmsen, Oslo.
Operating displacement 25,080 tonnes, dim. 79.25 x 59.50m. Operating draught 19.8m. Height of main deck above keel 33.5m.
Four Nohab diesel generator sets each 2,650 hp. Propulsion: Two 3,280 hp azimuth thrusters. Transit speed 7 knots.
Maximum water depth capacity 460m.
Drilling depth to 7,620m.
Accommodation for 92 persons.
