FRANK VIKING tug

Built as a anchor handling tug under yard No 285 by Hermann Sürken GmbH & Co. K.G., Papenburg, Germany for Wilhelmsen Offshore Services, and managed by Wilh. Wilhelmsen , Norway.
07 November 1975 launched as the TENDER PULL.
Tonnage 460 grt, 136 net, 612 dwt., dim. 45.47 x 13.82 x 6.86m., length bpp 40.44m., draught 4.7m.
Powered by two 12-cyl. 4 S.C.S.A. MAK diesel engines, 8,000 bhp., twin controllable pitch propellers, speed 15 knots.
12 April 1976 completed building cost 22,000,000.00 Kr.

06 March 1981 sold to P/R Frank Viking (K/S Viking Supply Ships A/S Kristiansund S, renamed FRANK VIKING. She was later managed by Bendt Rasmussen.
1986 Sold to Offshore Support Service Inc., managed by Reksten Management A/S, Panama and renamed SCAN POWER.
1989 Sold to Scan Power Inc. and managed by Viking Supply Ships A/S, Panama and renamed UTRECHT, managed by Wijsmuller Salvage B.V.
1990 Sold to Boa Ltd. and managed by Taubatkompaniet A/S, Cayman Islands and renamed BOA PULL.
1992 Renamed by owners in NAKARI TIDE, most probably for a charter.
Later 1992 renamed again in BOA PULL, then again NAKARI TIDE the same year.
1994 Sold to Tidewater Port Jackson Pty. Ltd., Abbotsfjord Vic., Australia, under registery of Vanuatu with homeport Port Vila.
Tonnage 915 grt, 275 net. 625 dwt.
2005 Owned by Jackson Marine LLC.
2008 Sold to Golden Capital Enterprises, Hong Kong, China, renamed ASIAN POWER.
2009 Laid up.
2016 IMO No. 7404994, same owner and still under Vanuatu flag, laid up

Norway 1985 2k+1k sgMS960, scott? (she is the stern tug (hardly visible) most to the right on the stamp).
