Uruguay issued in 1945 a stamp depicting a full rigged sailing vessel and given that she was the La EOLO.
Given by the Uruguay Post that the stamp was printed and issued without authority by a Postmaster General of short tenure in his office, who claimed that a ship of this name brought the first International mail to Uruguay. No records of this event can be found.
There have been some sailing ships under the name EOLO, all under Italian flag, but I also can’t find a connection between the ships and Uruguay, so she still is a mystery ship.
