SIEM MOXIE Istallation Offshore Support Vessel

Built as an Installation offshore support vessel under yard No 109 by Ada Denizcilik, Tuzla, Turkey for Siem Offshore AS, Kristiansand, Norway.
01 January 2013 keel laid down.
15 September 2013 launched as the SIEM MOXIE.
Tonnage 4,367 grt, 1,311 nrt, 2,835 dwt, dim. 74.0 x 17.0 x 8.0m., draught 6.0m, length bpp. 67.9m.
The completed hull was then towed to Fjellstrand Verft in Omastrand, Norway where she was completed under yard No 1697.
Powered by four generators, two of 1,840 kW and two of 1,380 kW, delivering power to two Voith Schneider ECS propellers and Cyciodal rudders each have a power of 1,850 kW. Speed maximum 13 knots.
Accommodation for 60 persons.

Designed by ULSTEIN, 'SIEM MOXIE' is the very first Service Operation Vessel developed and purpose-built for the offshore wind sector.
Built at Fjellstrand Verft for Siem Offshore, the 'SIEM MOXIE' was named in Hamburg on 10 April 2014. E.ON took patronage of the ship after delivery.
“We chose the SIEM MOXIE because it will make our installation operations extremely safe and efficient,” Sven Utermöhlen, Head of International Offshore business at E.ON, explained.
“In addition it will help make the construction of offshore wind farms more cost-effective, thereby helping this technology move closer to market maturity.”
The SIEM MOXIE was firstly deployed on E.ON’s Amrumbank West offshore wind farm project north of Helgoland by Siem Offshore Contractors for the installation of the inner array grid submarine cable system. Working in installation support, the vessel is also characterized as an ISV vessel.

2017 in service, same name and owners.
