October 1956 sold to Société de Pêche et de Congélation de Saint-Pierre in St Pierre et Miquelon and renamed in SAVOYARD SPM 200.

The SAVOYARD was a deep-sea fishing trawler belonging to the Société de Pêche et de Congélation de Saint-Pierre. It was bought in Holland for this company. It was made of steel and was 50? meters long.
Her captain was, Jean Cormier. This trawler had a sad end and it was the first victim of this series of unfortunate events which struck thereafter this company. The trawler was leaving for the fishing grounds but had to make a detour to Fortune, Newfoundland, to disembark a passenger, Mr Tupé-Thomé, a French politician who had come to Saint-Pierre to stand as a candidate in the legislative elections. Several opponents of this man's policies were on the quay at the time of departure and some of them made fun of him. It should be noted that this gentleman also had a fairly large number of supporters who had come to accompany him and shake his hand before sailing. Several of these people stayed in the ship's wheelhouse until it was time to cast off. Some have claimed and still claim that this human presence on the bridge before casting off was contraindicated and that it was responsible for a deviation of the compass. In good faith, one has to admit that these claims are somewhat fanciful to say the least.
Less than ten minutes after leaving the wharf of the old cold store, the trawler literally climbed the "Rocher Petit Saint-Pierre" on 13 May 1959. All persons on board were saved
(Another source gives, she left the quay during dense fog.)

A powerful tug from Halifax, the FOUNDATION VIGILANT was urgently called. Given the very special position of the SAVOYARD on the rock, it was absolutely impossible to salvage her. The trawler remained in this uncomfortable situation for quite a long time. Thanks to the help brought by the autumn storms, the sea dug the grave of this poor boat which now lies about thirty meters from the rock and whose hull is clearly visible when flying over it by plane.
