LAOMENE built in 1880

Built as an iron hulled ship under yard 92 bt W.H, Potter & Sons, Liverpool for H Fernie & Sons, Liverpool.
26 May 1980 launched as the LAOMENE,
Tonnage 1797 ton. Dim. 80.2m (lpp),x 11.9 x 7.3m.
Ship rigged, later as a bark
1880 Completed. Homeport Liverpool Official no 1081369.

Noting found on her voyages.
Her last voyage was under Capt. J.H. Hughes from Philadelphia to Rangoon.
05 February 1904 ran on rocks near Alguada Reef, Burma during fair wheather and was a complete total loss. Most probably the crew was rescued

The stamp in the margin is designed after a painting made by Antonio Jacobsen.
