Building commenced in June 1977.
January 1978 keel laid down.
May 1978 launched under the name SALAH ALDEEN, one of the Kuwait class, of which 15 were built.
Tonnage 15.455 gross, 8.799 net, 23.740dwt., dim. 175.27 x 23.42 x 14.20m., length bpp 167.65m., draught 10.38m.
Powered by one B&W diesel engine, manufactured by J.G Kincaid & Co. Ltd., Greenock, Scotland, 12.500 bhp., one propeller, speed 16 knots.
July 1978 delivered to owners.
She was strengthened to carry heavy cargoes.
1988 Renamed in TRIDENT ENERGY.
1991 Transferred to Brighton Shipping Ltd. Bahrain, renamed SEA EMPEROR.
1992 Transferred back to United Arab Shipping Co. now Bahrain and renamed SALAH ALDEEN.
2003 Sold to Indian breakers and beached Alang 31 July 2003.
