Built as a container vessel by the yard of Blohm & Voss at Hamburg for the Hapag-Lloyd A.G., Hamburg.
Launched under the name of HAMBURG EXPRESS.
Tonnage 58.088 gross, 38.425 net, 49.532 dwt., dim. 287.61 x 32.26 x 12.0m. (draught). Length between pp 273.01m
Two Stal-Laval gasturbines geared to one shaft, 40.566 shp., speed 26 knots.
10 holds, 15 hatches, and can carry 3000 TEU’s.
Crew 35.
07 July 1972, delivered to owners.


Used in the service from north Europe to the Far East.
1993 Renamed in BREMEN EXPRESS.

02 May 1993 she ran aground in Port Philip Bay, Victoria, refloated by tugs about 10 hours later
2000 Sold by Westwind Int. Pte. Ltd., Singapore ( maybe a subsidiary of Hapag, Marine News did not give a date that she was sold to this company) to Golden Express Shipping Co. S.A. Panama, renamed EXPRESS D.
2002 Sold to Indian breakers and she arrived Alang 01 April 2002.
