Built as a sterntrawler by the yard of Aukra Bruk A/S Aukra, Norway for the Den Kongelige Grønlandske Handel, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Launched under the name CARL EGEDE.
Tonnage 721 gross, 173 net, dim. 192.3 x 36.8ft.
Powered by a B&W Alpha diesel, 2.160 bhp, speed 14 knots.
Port of registry Godthap.
May 1973 delivered.

She is seen on the stamp in the Davis Strait with two kayaks.
1986 Re-engined by a more powerful 16-cyl B&W Alpha diesel hp?. (most probably the same year lengthened.)
1987 Lengthened, dim. 68.97 overall, bpp 61.35m. depth 7.01m.
During the night of 12/13 April 1990 fire broke out on board the stern trawler CARL EGEDE, whilst she was undergoing repairs at Svendborg Værft A/S, Denmark.
At that time she was owned by Gronlands Hjemmestyres (Trawlervirkomhed), Greenland.
1990 Sold to Nordane Shipping (N.Hojlund), Denmark.
According the 1993-94 Lloyds’s Register supplement was she broken up.
