Built as an iron screw steamer under yard No 45 by W.A. Stevens, Birkenhead for Steam Ship Perfero Co. Ltd., (J.B. Sprott manager) Liverpool.
07 June 1883 launched under the name PERFERO
Tonnage 841 gross, 681 tons under deck, 539 net, dim. 200.9 x 28.1 x 15.7ft. (draught)
Powered by a compound steam engine with 2 inverted cylinders 99 nhp, manufactured by D. Rollo & Sons in Liverpool
Schooner rig.
1883 completed.

1883 till 1884 J. Jordan, manager.
1886 Sold to O.F. Gollcher, Malta and renamed L’ISLE ADAM
Used in the service from Malta to North African and Adriatic ports, under command of Captain G. Inguanez.
1899 Sold to Aktiebolaget. (A. Hulthen, manager) Malta/Helsingborg, Sweden and renamed ERIK. Port of registry Helsingborg.
1915 Sold to H. Uhner Aktiebolaget.
19 May 1917 Sunk by explosive device placed by a submarine crew in position 60 15N 19 44E.
