POMORZE

She has been identified by Log Book as the Polish fish factory vessel POMORZE.

Built as a type B67 by the Stocznia Gdanska at Gdansk for the Dalekoomorskie Bazy Rybackie, Poland.
Launched under the name POMORZE.
Tonnage 13.972 gross, 6.444 net, 9.645 dwt, dim. 164.0 x 21.3 x 7.8m.
Powered by one 6-cyl. Cegielski/B&W diesel, 7.2000 bhp, speed 15 knots.
5 Holds, loading gear of 2 – 10 tons and 16 – 5 tons derricks.
1968 Delivered to owners.

On the Falkland stamp is she seen loading on the high seas off the Falklands, with one fishing vessel alongside.

July 1992 was reported that she was sold by P.P.U.R.M. “Transocean”, Poland to Indian ship breakers.
15 October 1992 arrived at Gadani Beach for breaking up.

The 31p stamp depicts the poop-deck of a stern-trawler by hauling in the net.

On Falkland Islands 1993 72p sg 684, scott 581.
