
From Peru comes a new 1.50 air stamp, "Peru determines her destiny." depicting the motor cargo ship Ilo, owned by the Government of Peru (Ministry of Marine), and built in 1972 by Servicio lnd. de la. Armada Perunan, at Callao.
She has a gross tonnage of 10,216;net 5,576 and a deadweight of 13,000 tons. Her dimensions are: 503 ft. 3 in.,67 ft. 1 in., 30 ft. 9Y2 in., draft and 40ft.1 in. depth. There are three decks. Machinery is aft and insulated capacity is 19.780cu ft. Burmeister and Wain oil enjines, 2-stroke single-acting, 740 x 1,600 mm. and of 11,600 b.h.p. are fitted.
