This vessel was a French Government trawler built by the Bath Iron Works and delivered in 1948, to take the place of the terre-neuvas and sailing schooners. One of twelve new vessels, she was owned by the Pleven Shipping Co., of St Malo. Gross tonnage of 1,662 with a compliment of 65. SG374

Built as trawler under yard No 278 by Bath Iron Works, Bath for the French Government.
21 June 1947 launched as the COLONEL PLEVEN.
Tonnage 1,662 grt, 1,041 net, dim. 73.1 x 11.8m.
Powered by one 6-cyl 4SA B&W diesel engine, ?hp
September 1947 delivered to Armement Victor Pleven, Saint Malo, France.

She was one of the 6 trawlers built for the French government and assigned to French owners to replace the old terre-neuvas used by the French on the banks off Newfoundland and for war damage..
1961 Sold to La Peche au Large, Bordeaux, renamed PIERRE VIDAL.
1966 Renamed by owners in ANNITA.
1996 Sold to Oy Rymattayla Ab, Naantali, Finland and renamed in SAUKKO IV.
May 1975 refitted in a barge, fate unknown.
