As given by a Fiji web-site the DAUSOKO was sunk by explosions on 26 March 2014 after she first was for sale for scrapping, most probably not any bid was received, so the navy decided to let her sink.
A nine-man team of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Naval Squadron Explosive Ordinances Devices (EOD) Unit assisted Government Shipping Services with the final retirement of one of Fiji’s long servicing government vessels ‘MV DAUSOKO on Wednesday 26 March.

The naval EOD team led by Lieutenant(N) Ledua Yaco with the joint coordination of Government Shipping Services and the crew members of the new government vessel ‘MV DRE DONU I’ escorted DAUSOKO to its final resting place just outside the Suva harbor.

The DAUSOKO has been one of the longest serving government vessels to service the Fiji government maritime needs in the provision of transportation to government workers and centers to Fiji’s outer rural Maritime Provinces.

The DAUSOKO was fondly cherished by the former President of Fiji and the late Tui Nayau Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara as it served during his leadership in government as the main presidential vessels that would service his entourage during his tour and transportation to the outer islands.

The DAUSOKO which had been cherished by so many will surely be missed for its endeavoring voyages out at sea.
