Official number 301338 of the Daru class, built by Scotts Shipbuilding and Engineering, Greenock. Yard No 685. She had a Doxford opposed piston oil engine. 2 stroke single acting 4 cyl. and incidently was the first 4 cyl. supercharged Scott-Doxford to be built.
Launched in 1960 she had a length of 460'. Beam 63'3".Draught 26'1" loaded. Gross tonnage was 6109. 3195 net. 9572 Deadweight.
The first Elder ship to be fitted with a permanent swimming pool, and her cargo spaces were served by 5 hatches.
In July 1977 she was in collision with the Greek flag vessel PEARL TRADER, whilst berthing at Freetown and sustained minor damage.
In 1981 she was sold to the Clare Shipping Corp. Greece and renamed CLARE.
Whilst lying at Rio de Janiero she sustained engine damage and was subsequently sold 'as lying' to Resolvemaratime Ltd. Panama and renamed RESOLVE.
She was sold in 1983 to Pakistani Shipbreakers arriving at Gadani Beach on 28 March for demolition by the Elahi Shipbreakers Ltd.
