SEAFRANCE MANET (ferry)

Built as a passenger ro-ro ferry under yard No 167 by Chantiers Dubigeon S.A., Prairie-au-Duc, Nantes, France for Societé National de Chemins de fer Français, Dunkirk, France.
30 November 1982 keel laid down.
20 December 1983 launched under the name CHAMP ELYSÉES.
Tonnage 15.093 grt, 8.965 net, 2.192 dwt, dim. 130.0 x 22.5 x 7.11m., length bpp 122.3m, draught 4.98m.
Powered by two SEMT-Pielstick diesel engines, manufactured by Alsthom Atlantique, St Nazaire, 15.850 kW (21.241 hp), twin shafts, speed 20.9 knots.
Bunker capacity 408m³.
Accommodation for 1800 passengers and 300 cars.
02 October 1984 completed.

04 October 1984 used in the ferry service between Calais to Dover.
19 January 1985 till 28 September 1985 used in the service between Boulogne and Dover.

22 January 1990 transferred to Societé Propietaire des Navieres (SPN), Paris. Homeport Calais.
02 July 1990 after a refit in the service between Dieppe and Newhaven, with homeport Dieppe.

01 May 1992 chartered by Sealink Stena Line Ltd., Ashford, U.K..
26 May 1992 arrived at the A & P. Appledore yard, Southampton, U.K. for a refit and modernisation. DWT tonnage increased to 2.430 ton.
03 June 1992 renamed in STENA PARISIEN. In the service from Dieppe to Newhaven.
02 September 1996 got on fire in the engine room when berthed at Newhaven.
07 January 1997 made her last sailing in the service from Newhaven to Dieppe after the Stena charter expired.
1997 After a dry-docking at Dunkirk sold to Seafrance S.A., Calais and renamed SEAFRANCE MANET.
20 January 1997 used in the service between Calais and Dover.

She is special designed for the Dover Strait ferry service, and after her renovation in 1997, in according with the Seafrance concepts, her large glazed bays provide maximum lighting in the passenger areas. Deck 7 is dedicated entirely to passengers with a bar at the front, a self-service restaurant at the rear, the commercial centre in the middle, with a reception area comprising the information office and the bureau de change. On Deck 8, both fore and aft, the glazed pediments give two bars.

13 May 2005 near Calais she got on fire, the fire was quickly put out.

2008 She is not more on the Seafrance web-site, must be in reserve or placed on the sale list after a new ferry was delivered lately to the company.
IMO No. 8208763. Tonnage now given as 9.069 grt, 4.524 net, 2.048 dwt.

08 July 2009 sold to the Stena Line, Götenborg, Sweden.
23 September 2009 sailed from Dunkirk to Belfast.
29 September 2009 transferred to Stena Ropax Ltd. London, and renamed in STENA NAVIGATOR.
30 October 2009 trail voyage between Belfast and Stanraer.
12 November 2009 in the service between Belfast and Stanraer.

04 November 2011 sold to Eurolineas Maritimas S.A.L. Balearen, Spain.
November 2011 laid up in Belfast.
February 2012 sold to Euromaroc 2000 S.L. Valencia (Balearen), Spain with homeport Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
17 February 2012 sailed from Belfast and arrived 19 February 2012 at Santander for a refit.
March 2012 renamed in DANIYA.
April 2012 in the service from Denia -San Antonio -Palma or Denia-San Antonio-Barcelona.
November 2013 renamed in POETA LOPEZ ANGLADA.
20 November 2013 in the service between Algeciras and Ceuta.
02 December 2013 in the service between Alcudia and Ciutadella.
2018 In service, same name and owned by Balearia Eurolineas Maritimes, Alicante, Spain, IMO No 8208763.
