MADRAGOA ferry

Portugal has recently issued a set of five stamps showing city transport. The €0.68 value shows the ferry MADRAGOA of the Cacilhense Class.
She was built in 1981 by Estaleiros São Jacinto, Aveiro, Portugal.
GRT: 313 t; NRT: 225 t; Displacement: 215 t.
Length: 31.35 m; Beam: 7.26 m; Depth: 3.03 m.
1 x Diesel V8 MTU396 700 HP at 1500 rpm
She has a speed of 10 knots and can carry 480 passengers and 4 crew

The MADRAGOA is owned by Transportes Tejo E P (Transtejo), a publicly owned company which provides a network of local services on the River Tagus around Lisbon. On 17 December 1975 the five companies providing the ferry services were nationalized to form Transtejo.
