Aggersund Bridge and BONA GRATIA.
Built as a fishing cutter in 1903 by Jens Olsen, Frederikshavn, Denmark for ?
Launched under the name GRATIA.
Tonnage 33 grt, 9 net, dim. 17.24 x 4.95 x 1.9m.
Sail area 187 square meters.
One MAN-diesel 120hp., not sure when fitted in.
Her name was later SAIGON, and in her 70s, she was converted from a fishing vessel into a yacht-like ketch.
Her owners keep her in the best condition and sail her most of the year.
She is now owned by a Group of Shiplovers in Århus, Denmark.
On the franking label she is pictured as she clears the Aggersund bridge. The Aggersund Bridge lies to the north of Løgstør and was opened on 18 June 1942. It spans the short stretch of water in the Limfjord at its narrowest point, providing a link between the northern area of Hans Herred and West Himmerland. The bridge is 220 metres long and approximately 1.3 million vehicles pass each year.
