BORE I, built by Jernsk & Mak., at Elsinore, Denmark, for the Bore Steamship Company, of Abo, Finland.
Ship's dimensions: 180' 7" x 29' 6" x 13' 1".
All the Company's ships are named BORE, with their number in consecutive order of their building, up to No. 10, when the process seems to have started again. The ship on the stamp was the Company's first steamship.
There is a second BORE I, built in 1935, which took the original ship's number. An exception to this rule is the passenger steamer KASTELHOLM, of 921 gross tons, also owned by the Bore Steamship Company.
