Built as a tanker by International Con. Nav. Si Rel la Cald Turnu-Severin, Hungary for Russian account.
27 June 1986 first section placed.
Launched under the name FYODOR GUBANOV.
Tonnage 6.052 gross, 2.070 net, 7.410 dwt., dim. 147.00 x 17.42 x 7.52m., draught 5.3m.
Powered by two 8-cyl Sulzer diesels, 4.160 hp., speed 12.5 knots.
02 March 1989 delivered to owners.

1992 Transferred to Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Co., Baku, Azerbaijan and renamed GYANJA, most probably named after the town and district Ganja.

http://www.equasis.org gives GYANJA and Stanley Gibbons GANZHA while http://www.caspar.baku.az/eng/flot2.html click on tankers gives the name GENJE. IMO No. 8819316, call sign 4JFA owned and managed in 2006 by Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Co. at Baku.
2010 In service same name and owners.
