Post by aukepalmhof » Thu Jul 01, 2010 9:00 pm

BILIKIKI: Built in 1966 not an owner found, also were built is a mystery, in 1966 is her dim. 101 x 22.4ft.

1989 Fitted out as a dive boat for the Bilikiki Cruises Lt. Honiara, Solomon Islands. A steel hulled vessel 280 tons, with a length of 125ft. Beam 24ft.
Powered by a 350hp 3406 Turbo Charged Caterpilar diesel engine.

Some info I had was that she was a built as a lighthouse tender in Australia and used as so, but cannot find any confirmation if it is true.

Used as a Dive Boat as a base for exploration of the seabed etc.
In 1989 the BILIKIKI sailed as the first full service luxury live-aboard Dive Vessel in the Solomon Islands. Since then she has gained a reputation as being among the best of the world’s Live-aboard.
Designed for South Pacific conditions with immense sundecks, plenty of covered areas and air-conditioned accommodation.

She offers 10 de-luxe cabins with a full double bed and a single one above. All cabins are fitted with private showers and toilets.

She operates from Honiara on Guadalcanal Island to dive sites in the Florida Islands, the Russell Islands, Mborokua (Mary) Islands and Marovo Lagoon in the New Georgia Islands.

Solomon Islands 2004 $1.50 sg?, scott?
