Superb HMS (1907)

HMS SUPERB. Battleship of 'Bellerophon' class, 18600 tons.
Built at Elswick. Laid down 6th February 1906. Launched 7th November 1907. Completed May 1907 at a cost of £1,675,529.
With 10-12" 16-4" 4-3pdr guns and 3 x 18" TT with a speed of 18 knots and complement 733.
Commissioned 29 May 1909 for Home Fleet, 1st. Div. transferring in May 1912 to 1st B.S. Home Fleet.
In Grand Fleet 1st B.S. in August 1914, at Jutland as f/ship of 4th BS (Rear Admiral A.L. Duff).
Led Allied Fleet through Dardanelles after surrender of Turkey. Placed in reserve in 1919 and scrapped under Washington Treaty. Sold in 1922.
