05 May 1975 keel laid down.
07 October 1975 launched as the PROFESSOR BOGOROV, named after the Oceanographer Bogorov (1904-1971).
Tonnage 1,173 grt, 561 dwt., dim. 68.77 x 12.42 x 6.02m., draught 4.2m, length bpp. 60.73m.
Powered by a RBV 6m 358 diesel engine of 2,000 hp., controllable pitch propeller, speed 14 knots. One thwartship bow thruster.
Range 12,000 mile. Fuel oil bunkers 345 tons diesel oil.
Ice strengthened.
Crew 32 and 28 scientists.
07 May 1976 completed.
Used for hydrographic research by the Soviet Union
2010 In service, home port Vladivostok, IMO No 7406124, managed by the Research Fleet of the Far Eastern Branch of Russian Academy of Science, Vladivostok.
20 August 2013 laid up, and still is in 2021.
