PORTSMOUTH yacht 1674

Built at the Woolwich Dry-dock by the master shipbuilder Phineas Pett as a yacht for the Royal Navy.
15 September 1673 ordered.
1674 Launched as the PORTSMOUTH.
Tonnage 133 ton (bm), dim. 75ft length of keel, 20.6 x 7.4ft. Draught 7.6ft.
Armament 6 or 8 guns.
Crew 20 to 30 men.
01 April 1674 commissioned under command of Captain Thomas Guy.

June 1688 rebuilt and converted in a bomb vessel at Woolwich. Tonnage 143 ton (bm)
27 November 1703 wrecked at the Nore in the Great Gale.
