Built as a submersible mobile drilling rig under yard TF 105 by Trosvik Verksted/Framnæs M.V. at Brevik/Sandefjord, Norway for K/S Munkenes Drilling A/S & Co., Oslo.
Tonnage 7.627 grt, 4,576 net, dim. 355 x 221 x 120ft. (high), draught 20 feet underway or 70 feet when drilling.
Powered by 4 Hedemora diesel engines each 2,200 hp., twin shafts.
Fitted out with two 50 tons cranes.
Can drill to a depth of 25,000 feet in a water depth of 1,000 feet.
December 1976 delivered to owners under the name NORDRAUG.
1980 Renamed in NEPTUNE NORDRAUG.
2010 From the net, owned by Zapata Offshore, Houston, under the name ZAPATA NEPTUNE.
