Egyptian ship 3300 B.C.

Post by aukepalmhof » Sun Oct 28, 2012 7:18 pm

The inscription on the stamp gives that an Egyptian ship of 3300 B.C is depict, but the ship on the stamp is of much later date, the bipod mast came not in use before 2700 B.C.
The earliest vessel is found on a vase made in about 3200 B.C. and shows that the hull is shaped like papyrus rafts.
